Travel Must Haves

Bye-bye travel agents and lets welcome the era of Traveler’s. We all inspire each other one way or the other with our stories and at times we blog our experience on what went wrong in our travels.  Be it a 3 hour layover or a flight delay, we need to be connected with our family and friends. I would love to share with my readers the must-haves for this holiday season.

  • Worldwide Plug Adaptor / Chargers (packed with your carry bag)
I am sure none of us want to walk around with a dead phone, specially if you are in an alien country.

  • Passport/Visa
Till date, I am lucky not to have missed a flight. I certainly don’t like to miss my flight for forgetting my passport at home.

  • Book / Travel Journal
What does one get travelling? I place my bet on memories. Some backpackers have the habit of taking notes. Sometimes it’s just a one liner that you wrote during your travel, it will bring a smile on your face. What you write might not mean anything to anyone but it means everything to you.

  • A copy of your documents (hostel reservation, flight tickets, visa, passport copy etc.) sent to your mail ID
  • Camera: the best way to capture the best moments in the city

  • Eye Mask
    Sleeping Mask
  • Sunglasses
  • Power Bank: I see power banks as a blessing in disguise, technology at its best. Hope a day comes when we can have wi-fi’s put in a bottle. 🙂

  • Pen
Pen is indeed mightier than the sword, I am sure a lot of us run all corners of the airport searching for a pen just to fill a piece of paper. Pens are easily stolen so you may want to have a couple of them in your bag! Personally for me, creative ideas roll when I sit idle at the airport.

At times, passport holders from west mostly have the opportunity for on-arrival visa which gives you the opportunity to see the city. If you are traveling to the U.S, you can book your own rent-a-car through RelayRides. RelayRides is a peer-to-peer sharing car rental service. It allows private car-owners to rent out their vehicles. So here the owners get to make money, the company earns 25% of the rental fee and you get to choose your favourite car. (Win-Win Situation!). You can rent out your car when you go for a vacation or even for few hours to even couple of weeks. RelayRides provides a $1,000,000 insurance policy during the rental period for no additional charge. Check out relayrides.com for more info.

Renting a car on your own allows you to manage your time, tour the city on your own and reaching the airport on time in whichever city you’re touring for your next flight.

We all love to be lost. Seeing the unknown path and finding our own way is the best part of traveling. We follow our heart, make new friends and you get to see life a bit more different from the rest of the world. Rent-a-car has GPS for those to like to stick to a plan, but for others the roads takes control.

Keep Travelling, Keep Learning
